Deb was nominated by an endocarditis patient, who had this to say about how Deb is deserving of this award:
"Deb, I want to start off by apologizing for my behavior this morning. Given all couples fight, last time I checked it wasn't in your job description to be a mediator. Sometimes I don't use my better judgement when looking back on what occurred. I could have handled my anger and frustration in more of a respectful manner. But I will say that you handled my behavior perfectly and respectfully. I also want to say thank you for being super nice and extra sweet to me. Your kindness goes above and beyond. Thank so much for your pure kindness and caring nature. It makes it so much easier to want to stay here at OHSU."
