Sarah was very professional, informative, and caring. I came to Rex for a heart cath. I had a heart cath 21 years ago that turned into an emergency double by-pass, so I was more than just a little concerned about this one. Sarah took the time to explain what was going to happen and why it had to happen that way. The procedure all went well. The drug they give you to keep your blood from clotting has to get below 170 before they can remove the sleeve. It took one and a half hours for mine to get to 170. Then another 3 hours flat on your back not able to bend your right leg. That is a really long time for anyone to lay absolutely flat. Sarah routinely checked on me and did all she could to make the time manageable. I know these people do these procedures every day and it is routine for them, but to those of us as patients, we may only go through them once or twice in our lifetime and it is not routine for us. I think the staff was top notch and I will recommend anyone I meet to go to REX. Sarah was especially cheerful, friendly and helpful.
