Lana exemplifies Patient and Family-centered care and collaborative teamwork. She always brings positive energy to the workplace, whether helping with the team or individually with her patients. I receive numerous commendations for Lana. Most of them write how positive she is, how much she loves her work, and how pleasant her smile is and how these attributes make for a healing and compassionate nurse. She instills a confidence in her patients that make them trust our teams. She engages our team with her enthusiasm and positivity. "If ever there was a better nurse, I could not name one. Extremely professional, overly helpful, more than willing to make an uncomfortable circumstance completely enjoyable. A vivacious smile, a contagious personality. If everyone would treat others as she does, it would be a most beautiful world. I will only come back to Saddleback if she can be my nurse. Knowing Lana, this really sums up how she is perceived by her patients. I agree the world would be a better place if more people would be more pleasant, positive, helpful, and compassionate.

Lana is a breath of fresh air even though I was in a lot of pain just her presence lifted my spirits. Nurses everywhere should learn from her example; she deserves a badge of honor. I just loved her.
