On Saturday I came to the ED after sliding on the ice and throwing out my back. Tanner Kadleck came into the room to see what brought me in. He listened to my story and at no point made me feel bad for coming in. I was raised to only go to the ED if you are carrying a limb with you. I explained I did not want to take narcotics but that the Advil was not helping. He let know when someone would be in and came back on a regular basis to make sure I was doing okay.
When it was time for my shot, Tanner was light-hearted and able to relax me so that I was not worried about getting it. Tanner made sure I never felt rushed or an inconvenience. When I got home I was telling my friends and family about how wonderful he was. He really cares about his patients, even if he only sees them for a short time frame.
