First, I'd just like to say you have some of the most respectful, compassionate, well-trained, and fun nurses and techs. I have had a 20-year relationship with U of M and have always felt safe and in the best of hands for my medical care. Over the years I have met many great nurses at U of M and wish I had recognized each and every one of them.
During my last stay on 4C, Vanessa stood out. She is a dear woman and really impressed me during my hospitalization. Even though she is a professional, I considered her a friend and advocate. During our conversations, she shared a part of herself with me, and that was a comfort. A favorite part of my stay on 4C was when she would walk me to the bridge and together we enjoyed the sun. Somehow, she knew that I needed this little adventure without me even having to ask. She really understood me, and that helped me get through this difficult time. She is certainly a jewel in the U of M crown!
