Mandy was there for us at a very difficult time. Our son was fighting for his life, and the doctors were not sure what was happening. They would order tests and then change their minds, and Mandy was quick to adapt the plan of care to provide the best possible care for our son as well as fulfill the doctors' wishes. In the middle of all of this, Mandy discovered that the daily medications were not nearly correct, and they had to be updated immediately. As time went on and our son began to stabilize, Mandy was able to interact with our family in a lighthearted way that made us feel at home. All of the PICU nurses were exceptional, but Mandy was with us when things were the worst. She was caring, compassionate, and empathetic. We will never forget her support during those dark days.
