Davina's nursing professionalism was particularly noteworthy and commendable. She monitored my catheterization access site from the moment that I returned from surgery, secured other nursing opinions and ultimately had the puncture site re-bandaged with a different and apparently superior technique applied by the catheterization lab recovery room nurse.
Davina provided seemingly continuous nursing care and guidance throughout her 12-hour shift. She was always cheerful and took time to provide instructions and explanations about the recovery expectations and my roles and responsibilities as a patient. My wife and I were impressed by her passion and cheerfulness. We were amazed and inspired by her comprehensive patient turnover practices.
It was a joy to be under her care and witness her extraordinary passion for nursing. We were awestruck by how her enthusiasm, energy level, and cheerfulness was maintained for the entirety of her 12+ hour work shift.
