Callie was my nurse for two of the days I was admitted as a patient. Her bedside manner was just what I needed. She talked to me about generic subjects to help focus my mind on things outside the hospital. But, what really impressed me was when my three granddaughters came to visit. My granddaughters are ages 2, 4, and 5. They didn't have a grasp on what was going on with me. Callie gave them ice cream and talked to them for a little bit, assuring them that I was getting better and would come home soon. I was able to tell the girls that Callie was my superhero who would make sure I got better so I could come home soon.
