Adriana was working her regular shift on a Monday when she received a court order for her presence. Adriana was ordered to go to the hospital with one of our federal inmates and to provide all records of his care while in custody. Adriana went to the hospital with the patient and brought all of her well-kept records with her. Not only did she discuss the patient's complaints, but she completed patient care due to the ER staff being busy.
Adriana waited hours alongside our patient while he was getting evaluated. Then she was called into the courtroom as a witness for this patient. Adriana not only complied with a court order to provide records, but she also provided patient care, she followed up and waited hours and hours, all while maintaining a smile on her face. Adriana did not lose her cool and maintained the professional and caring demeanor she always has. Thank you, Adriana, for being a caring and wonderful nurse to our underserved population.
