Brooke was recognized for her role in saving a newborn's life.
The nominator was a patient giving birth to her first son. After he exhibited respiratory difficulties, the baby suddenly stopped breathing. Bowe took the lead to resuscitate him.
"Without her care, we wouldn't be here," the nominator says. "We wouldn't have this story to tell. Because of her quick thinking, we are here with a good outcome."
