Michele truly deserves recognition for being one of the finest nurses and human beings that I know. She deserves to be rewarded daily because of her kindness compassion and skill as a nurse does not just occur during one important incident. It's the way she cares for her patients daily without looking for recognition. She treats every patient as if they are her own family. She listens to her patients, she has the sense to know when her patient is anxious inside even when they don't tell her.
She had a patient the other day that she was overly concerned about because he acted as if something just wasn't right. She went to extra measures making sure he had her full attention that day even though she was very busy. While in another room she heard the dreaded overhead page "medical emergency" in the man's room she was so worried about all day. He collapsed, CPR in progress. She assisted in the CPR as professionally as she always is and her patient did not survive, not from lack of effort on her part. It was God's way. She cried real tears because she truly felt attached to this patient and family. She spent time preparing the body, talking to and consoling the family in their time of need. She worked over her shift a couple of hours documenting and catching up. Never complaining about doing her job! You can't buy the compassion Michele has. Michele is a true DAISY Nurse.
