I brought my son to Children's ER for a deep laceration. We met this nurse and she was fantastic. She treated my son and me with respect and patience. She took the time to explain every detail of his care in words he could understand. She didn't try to lie or cajole him into doing what needed to be done. He responded so well to the several painful procedures. All done with minimal trauma and drama. For this reason, he felt empowered in his care, was not scared, and felt like the doctors were here to help make him feel better instead of doing things that caused pain. I am so thankful she was our nurse. She made for such a positive experience for us during this stressful time.
