I wanted to let you know how grateful I am to have had you as my nurse while I was in the hospital. Being in the hospital can be a scary time. You seem to have been one of the most considerate nurses I've encountered. You always made me feel confident that I was in good hands. It was nice feeling assured that I'd be taken care of when I had needs. You never made me feel like a burden. You have a great big heart for the work you do and for the people you help.
An example of how Sherry went above her duties: I went to the bathroom thinking I had to use it only to realize my water had broken; I saw a huge blood clot and I got scared and nervous and Sherry came in and she calmed me down and told me I was fine and my baby. Sherry answered all my questions and gave me lots of Love- something I needed because at the time I was there by myself. That's when I realized Sherry was more than a nurse, she was a teacher, part motivational speaker, and part therapist. She was a complete stranger and a complete angel. She was the mother I needed when mine couldn't be there, and at that moment, she was everything to me. And while our paths only crossed for a couple of hours, she made a lasting impression on me that day that she likely doesn't even realize.
