Linda is a huge weekend support for our team! Linda uses her role as SWAT nurse to support staff throughout the hospital. Linda cultivates long-lasting relationships with peers to foster trust and skills building. Linda has learned a handful of phrases in other languages and fosters our pro-multicultural teamwork.
In rapid responses, Linda responds and willingly stays with patients and their nurses to provide an extra set of hands. She calls and checks in every morning in the ICU to seek feedback to help prioritize her day. Linda regularly stays late to help place lines on patients that may be unstable. Linda's flexibility is invaluable, her attitude and personality make her an absolute pleasure to work with and her constant patient center focus is a model for all of us.
There was a patient deteriorating on a specific unit and orders were placed to transfer the patient to the ICU; Linda stayed to place a line and help with the transfer. It's a good reminder to be supportive of every part of our team and to have grace and compassion to our peers and be mindful of their work and processes.
