Katy was wonderful. She was patient, kind, respectful, never in a hurry, and had a great sense of humor. Mom was in a lot of pain, and she went the extra distance to be there for her, and explain. Mom has dementia, so the explanations were done over and over. Mom also commented on her hair and it looked messier as the day went on. They laughed and kidded together through it all. There were usually two of us in the room, and again, her patience was amazing. We never felt that she rushed to do something. A great nurse!

Mr. O was hospitalized twice. Both times he was treated with the utmost respect. Katy was a pro, caring and very encouraging RN. She was one of the two RNs who were very helpful with instilling hope in his medical needs in the hospital and at home. His overall health was impacted in a positive way! He is immobile, with many dependent needs. Both nurses never once made me feel embarrassed regarding the overall work it takes, in order to help me.

My Mom arrived late Saturday night and had Katy as her nurse. Katy was so wonderful with my mom from start to finish. She was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and just all-around wonderful. She was just a perfect nurse for my mother. She smiles in a way that makes you feel confident and in good hands. Katy really stands out. Thank you.

I can't say enough about all the nurses who, with true compassion and dedication to my recovery made my stay here so wonderful. Katy was so wonderful. I will be eternally grateful for her compassion and professional attributes.

I was in Miles hospital for four days because of a serious leg infection. All of the nurses who attended me were very good, but Katy stood out. She anticipated my needs and worked hard to provide for them. I use a CPAP for sleeping and for the past 10 years I have been sleeping in a lounge chair. It is easier for me to breathe and easier to get out of than a hospital bed. Katy worked at it until they found one. The heavy IV antibiotics I was getting made my bowels very loose. This frightened me because I have had Crohn's Disease, but for the past seven years, I have been in remission. I was afraid that the antibiotic would activate it again. They were able to get my doctor to prescribe Lomotil, an emergency drug used in the past, to stabilize my intestines, Katy took care of my fears and made my hospital stay much more pleasant. She has a bright, upbeat spirit that uplifted my spirits. On the morning of my discharge, when my leg wound was being wrapped, Katy came in to check on the healing of that wound even though she wasn't my nurse that day. That touched me.
