Rebecca was nominated by a co-worker who stated, "Rebecca has shown time and time again that she was born to be a nurse. She is constantly in the mindset of 'what is best for this patient' or 'what other options do you have for this patient.' As a team, we recently had a very difficult and emotional case. Rebecca was an exemplary nurse yet again by offering her compassion and working through certain situations as if she has been doing this for years rather than weeks.
After this recent case, she also offered emotional support to our team by stating the following," 'To my PCU fam- our floor is super heavy and emotionally taxing right now. Take a deep breath and walk into our patient's room with the smile we know we have. Sit down and let the family show you pictures of the good times (which were not long ago).'"
