My family will be eternally grateful to Hannibal Regional Hospital; when my mother was admitted a week ago she was very ill. At almost 94 years old anything can be serious. She had pneumonia and suffered a mild heart attack. We hoped for the best but expected the worst.
However, we knew she was in the right place. We know HRH is the best of the best in the people they employ. We are amazed at the care and professionalism of everyone we encountered during her stay and because of this, she is being released today! We have Mom for a while longer only because of the people who cared for her at this hospital.
Bethany was incredible. She was highly skilled and a wonderful nurse for Mom, but she also administered care to our whole family. She felt like family. Mom was somewhat despondent, and we all tried to cheer her up but Bethany was the one who could make her smile. And she did the most wonderful thing. She stopped by on her own time when her shift was over on her way out. She sat with Mom and soon had her and all of us laughing. It made all of us in the room brighten up and feel the best we had in a long tough week. She gave us hope.

My mother suffers from Parkinson's Disease. She was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. Bethany was our nurse for three of the 6 days we were here. Bethany was very attentive to my mother's needs. She brightened the mood with laughter and quick wit. Throughout the week, our family struggled with the decision of hospice. Bethany was very supportive. She listened attentively, held our hands, and offered loving hugs. During such a difficult time, Bethany provided the support we needed and made our mom and our family feel at ease. The entire staff was very helpful and kind.
