The anxiety of going through a test, that to my surprise was needed to be approved for my upcoming surgery, was apparent that morning. When I got to the unit everyone was very helpful, they explained everything along the way. As they wheeled me into the unit and laid me on that cold hard table, I was told I needed to lie still. I was worried about that and Briana noticed. She started talking to me about my favorite restaurant and that got my mind off my restless legs. Next thing I knew I was being told test over, all OK. As Briana pushed me back to a room, she was very good to explain things to me. She checked on me about every 10 minutes, expressing how important it was to keep my right hand over my heart. I asked many questions about what to expect for the next 24 hours. Briana told me a great way to get through the night was to wrap a bandage around a wooden spoon to my arm. I did that and it worked for me fine. Briana walked me out to the car, got me in the car, keeping my hand over my heart. She gave me a couple of reminders about my arm, then she gave me a big hug and said good luck with my surgery. Briana went over and above to calm me down through this procedure and I'd like the hospital to know how much I appreciated her care.
