Leah was very personable, encouraging and quick to serve.
Always a smile on her face. She was in my room before I knew I needed her. I never waited, as you can sometimes, she was there and ready to help. I feel she was over and beyond any nurse, I have ever come in contact with.
She made my hospital stay actually enjoyable. Any questions I asked were answered directly if I did not understand she explained it to me. She had no problem doing things that, as far as my knowledge, were not part of her job. I thoroughly enjoyed her conversation, she even had some great recipes for when I leave!
Leah is an amazingly competent nurse and I feel my recovery during my hospital stay went more smoothly because of her. Thank you again, Leah. Here's too many more years of you helping, smiling, encouraging everyone and everything in your path!

From the moment I arrived on her floor, I felt like the most important patient she had.
She was truly caring and compassionate and an excellent listener. I knew she had my best interest at heart.
I had some trouble getting my daily meds reordered by the surgeon to take at the hospital. This was causing additional distress because I've taken these meds for years.
Leah made it her priority to get my daily meds reordered by the surgeon and given. This greatly reduced my stress following surgery.
I am also an RN at REX and I know a superior nurse when I see one. Leah is this nurse and I would like to see her recognized.
We need more nurses like Leah at REX!
