I would like to thank my nurse, Lisa for her love and compassion during a scary time in my life. I went from no care in the world to an ER visit, surgery and the words I never wanted to hear, you have ovarian cancer. I immediately thought of the loss of my two kids who already lost their dad in the line of duty seven years ago. The feeling of the unknown and no control scared me. Then I was told that I would need chemo and I was even more frightened. Then I met Lisa. She had a calm, sweet demeanor and her positivity with my chemo issues saying she was only a call or e-mail away. She always was there for me, I never felt alone. Sometimes you feel alone and it's that one person you know that will be there. I hope Lisa knows how much I appreciate her and getting me through this tough time. Lisa is an example of a nurse who doesn't just think this is a job. I feel she puts herself into the patients' care and truly cares. You are an asset to Metro!
