I am writing to give special thanks and recognition to Faye, the lead nurse on Level 2 South. Faye made a very traumatic experience much more manageable for my mom and our family.
Our 80-year-old mom had brain surgery to remove a tumor that ended up being diagnosed and stage 4 lung cancer. Faye did her best to make our family comfortable during this very difficult time. After coming out of ICU my mom was not able to have a private room, but Faye made accommodations for my sister to sleep in the waiting room and allowed her to check on my mom regularly. The next day Faye made arrangements for a private room so Mom and the rest of my family could have time to come to grips with the horrible news. She even gave meal passes to family members so we could stay close together.
Thanks to Faye and the other staff members caring and compassionate attitudes, Mom is resting at home now getting stronger. We pray that God will allow us to spend extra time with her. May God Bless your hospital and staff members as you tenderly meet the needs of your community.
