Today, I came in for a scary procedure and had surgery through the front of my neck to fix and remove a herniated disc. Kwana greeted me when I arrived at my room on the 6th floor. Kwana is beyond remarkable, to say the least. She continuously checks to make sure you're OK mentally, emotionally, and physically. She runs up and down these halls from room to room making sure every patient is beyond comfortable and has every little thing they need. She smiles and laughs to boost your mood but she gives the best hand squeeze and comfort when you need consoling. She is much more than a nurse! She provides you with every tool to motivate healing with her soul and body language. She is truly the gold star of the 6th floor. Never let this amazing individual leave or lose her light. She is the most amazing asset to your hospital and provides distinguished care a lot of others lack. She should be training others and setting the standards of exceptional care.

Kwana made sure I was smiling all day long and handled me insanely great during my panic attack about what was happening during my discharge process. We also experienced something for the first time together and that was her placing an incision management system. She was always on top of everything caring for me and 5 other people. I was beyond blessed she was my nurse that last day I was here.
