I was hospitalized for an acute infection. I was visiting the area and knew nothing about this hospital. The ambulance brought me. During my confinement, Karen called me and I received an informative admission folder. Upon my discharge, I was told that I still needed antibiotics by IV. I did not wish to remain in VA but rather return to my home in PA. Karen spoke to doctors and home health care services until she was able to coordinate my care in PA. Everything went smoothly and my antibiotic, IV pump, and visiting nurse all arrived promptly the day after discharge. She also spoke with my hometown hospital and set up my follow up appointment with a specialist. Upon my arrival in PA, she also called to make sure everything turned out correctly. She spent a ton of time on my case. Everyone at Riverside Shore deserves to be commended for their wonderful attitude, their kindness, their skill, and their patience. The hospital facility is beautiful and patient rooms are clean. The food is delicious. My doctor was very competent and helpful also. I will highly recommend this hospital in the future.
