This story is about an awesome nurse. He always comes to work with a positive attitude. He is a role model for veteran nurses, new nurses, and techs. He has the personality of "everything is possible". He is always present to answer questions, even if we ever need an extra pair of eyes, he is always the first one there. On so many occasions, when I ask him for help to greet a patient, give a medication, talk to family, or even start drips, he does it with grace. Before the end of his shift, he checks on everyone and asks if there is anything he can do for us or anything he can help us with. When we need him for anything, he is always there, even through emails/texts. When he does have patients, he manages to care for his floor nurses, their patients, and his patients. I see him treat his patients with kindness and compassion. Nick is an example of the kind of nurse I want to be. He goes over and beyond for people. He is respectful and kind to everyone including transporters and environmental services. I have never heard him say anything negative about anyone or any situation. I have had to ask for his help multiple times, and even if he were busy, he would still make time to help. Please help me recognize him for his kindness, compassion, respect, and the amazing care he gives for his team members and patients.
