Dawn is one of the dayshift clinical managers at St. Joseph East Continuing Care Hospital. Whenever there is a project or a need for the unit, Dawn is the one who is called upon to express herself creatively. She heads up numerous programs and is always thinking of new was to bring all together as one.

Dawn is well liked by her co-workers as well as her patients and their families. Dawn recently had a patient that had some skin irritation and was in need of some lotion other than what we carry on the par. When I came in that night she had purchased the lotion from the gift shop and I took it to the patient and he was, of course, overwhelmed that she would show such kindness to him.

Not only is Dawn an advocate for the employees, but she is also an advocate for her patients and goes to bat for them when needed as she is very passionate about their condition and their needs. She is not shy about talking to the doctors about their condition or the need to re-evaluate their status. Dawn puts consults in for the chaplain for those out of town families who cannot afford to buy food while they are here with the patient.

We are fortunate to work with Dawn and benefit from her years of experience. Thanks to you Dawn for all you do for our unit and all you do for our patients and their families.
