Gretchen is our unit PCC. Gretchen is always asking what she can do the help or assist us in caring for our patients. On this occasion, I had a patient going into distress with respiratory complications and an elevated temp. Gretchen had a very busy patient herself but she came to my aid quickly. Gretchen assisted me with new orders, labs and contacting the family. Gretchen helped me stabilize my patient and assisted me with the family. Without her help, I would not have been able to be as fast in getting this patient the lifesaving care she needed.

I am so thankful to have such a compassionate, patient caring, knowledgeable leader as our PCC. Gretchen is always the first person to jump in and assist when we need anything. Gretchen goes above and beyond to care for our patients, but also cares for us working with her each day. She is passionate about her job and leads by example. She handles stress well and strives harder when we are overly busy. Gretchen doesn't sit down until everyone is helped with whatever needs they have and the job is complete.
