Katie Castrogiovanni was the best nurse I have ever seen! She looked after my son and was knowledgeable, informing, and was a great advocate for him. She treated him like he was her very own child. She saved his life and will always be in our hearts and prayers. We hope to keep in touch, after all of this, and cannot and will never be able to thank her enough. As parents, we notice how our son responded to each nurse and we saw how comfortable he was and still is with her. She never beat around the bush and told us everything, but in a very calming way that relieved all our fears, and gave us peace of mind. I strongly feel that she and the doctor together worked in sync. And if not for the care they provided then, and still now today, he would not be here with us. He still has a ways to go, in the healing part, but he's alive. We can't thank her enough!

I am 21 years old and my little brother is 22 months old. Katie is so good with my brother. I love him so. Thank God for people like Katie to be his nurse. After she is taking care of hm I feel good. She has been a big part of his recovery. My brother is the sunshine! Katie is full of sunshine.

Katie is taking care of my youngest grandson. She is so good with his care, takes time for him and is very efficient with what his needs are. Katie goes above and beyond what her job is. Katie has a heart of gold just like the sunshine award.
