The purpose of my mission is to shine the spotlight on Kendra Williamson and convey my gratitude for her exceptional professionalism and patient care during my recovery at Tucson Medical Center.

As a Gulf War combat veteran and commanding officer, I am not easily impressed. Therefore, when I encounter an individual whose work ethic, intelligence, interpersonal skills and kindness merit recognition, I am compelled to share my observations.

After having received an angiogram, I was transferred to the cath lab recovery room, whereupon I was met by Kendra. She introduced herself and promptly took the initiative to check my vitals and ensure I was comfortable. Kendra's level of care exceeded my expectations. This was the first time I met Kendra.

Two weeks later, following a bone biopsy, I was transferred to the same recovery room where I, once again, received exceptional care from Kendra.

During my visits to the recovery room, I observed that Kendra's other patients and I were "rewarded" with the highest level of care. Kendra is energetic, intelligent, compassionate and proactive.

In preparation for my release, Kendra's exceptional briefing regarding post-operative procedures was flawless and comprehensive. She meticulously covered each aspect of my recovery in great detail and verified my comprehension. As an airline pilot, I appreciate that level of attention to detail.

In the final analysis, I am very fortunate to have received what I consider to be world-class patient care from Kendra, whose dedication, depth-of-knowledge and professional attitude are exemplary.
