Patient's mother writes: I live in Illinois. My daughter lives in Arizona and on a Monday morning, I get a phone call that my girl has a huge blood clot pressing on the right side of her heart causing her not to be able to breathe. She went to 2W ICU and on Thursday April became our nurse. She was very professional but caring and patient with my daughter and us because we had so many questions. The medicine always came, it seemed, just when needed. She was happy to help us and always pleasant, always asking if we need or want anything, always smiling and positive towards life and our needs. I thank God that she helped us through a horrible time in all of our lives. She is a caring and wonderful person.
Patient's father writes: I would like to add that April was the nurse who attended to my daughter in the ICU for three days or so. Upon coming from Illinois and coming straight to the hospital, we went to our daughter's room and the doctors gave us the facts that she needed to be operated on in the next five minutes as it was life and death. A real shock! April became her nurse. She helped us to settle down and understand. She went out of her way with kindness and was really caring. I believe her to be one of God's angels. I feel she chose the right profession. I'm sad I can only repay her with a thank you. Great nurse, great person.
