Nanora is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who is out posted in the field at homeless youth sites, where she shines. She is patient, understanding, compassionate, and dedicated. She does it all, from checking scalps for lice to Rapid HIV screening, wound care, asthma treatment, and diabetes care. On a typical day, she will go to two homeless youth drop-in agencies in Hollywood and will be told by agency staff which youth need to see the nurse. Nanora has a way of making frightened, defiant, and hard-to-engage youth sit down, settle down, and share their worries. We've seen really tough cases melt under the touch of her hand when she is merely checking blood pressure. This is not a job for everyone, but she makes it look like magic.
