Tammy Sheets exemplifies the characteristics of a Daisy recipient in numerous ways. Tammy is known on our team as the "Cerner Cheerleader" for her welcoming personality, positive outlook on any situation, and creating a fun, energetic environment for clients and other Cerner associate who have the privilege to work with her. This allows Tammy to quickly form personal connections with others and captivate audiences as she presenters Cerner's solutions to both current and prospective clients. Tammy has been known to receive standing ovations during her presentations for showing nurses how Cerner can increase patient safety and productivity in the Women's Health space.
Throughout Tammy's career she has always been known for her collaborative and committed attributes. As a Sr. Solution Consultant for the Sales Alignment Organization, she goes above and beyond to collaborate with the Women and Children's CSBU to drive innovation and enable clients to become proactive when it comes to the care of our pregnant patients. Tammy has used her experience working in infertility to assist in developing the REI solution. She spent numerous hours (outside of her already hectic schedule as a Sr. Solution Consultant) to work with clients, engineers, and IP strategists hoping to help impact the infertility space utilizing Cerner's solutions to follow the patient throughout the entire continuum of care.
Tammy is also very passionate about nursing care. We were recently told in a team meeting that Cerner's Postpartum Hemorrhage Calculator and Advisor have been delayed. The World Health Organization statistics suggest that 25% of maternal deaths are due to PPH, accounting for more than 100,000 maternal deaths per year and that 54 to 93% of the maternal hemorrhage related deaths could have been prevented with improved clinical response. This drove Tammy's passion to help develop a business case on why the PPH calculator and advisor are crucial to the care of our Women's Health patients. Her commitment to patient care has led leadership to take another look at the timeline of this project.
As Tammy's team lead, I am inspired by her every day. She is someone you can always count on to do what's best for patients, clients, and always represents Cerner in the best possible way.
