Randi Ott is a nurse who is loved by many. She is well known for going above and beyond for her patients and her co-workers. Randi had a patient under her care who was having bouts of depression and was very sad when he found out that he would not be discharged home in time to hang out with his friends and watch a football game. Randi decided to have wings and pizza delivered to his room before the football game started. She called her co-workers from her home and asked them if they could please stop in and visit him and have snacks with him to make him feel like he had friends with him while watching the football game.
This is normal for Randi. To this patient, this was extraordinary nursing care and compassion!
