I was sitting outside a room charting while Chad was speaking with family members of his patient. These family members were very obviously angry and speaking of lack of care for their father. Chad handled them with such grace. He kept a calm demeanor, his educated responses and compassionate care put these family members more at ease. There are many things nurses learn at school but the attributes Chad demonstrated yesterday cannot be taught. I was proud to witness such extraordinary care.

Chad tried to keep her husband from going AMA. The patient's wife writes,
"Please tell Chad thank you for all that he did. He is amazing and incredible and I know he tried his absolute best to keep my husband safe. I got him straight into the doctor and he is doing well. Thank you Chad."
