I had to go to Good Samaritan Hospital for some tests and a minor medical procedure this week. While there, I was blessed to have Deb Moore as my nurse. Deb was, by far, one of the kindest, most compassionate, caring nurses that has ever cared for me while being treated in any hospital. She made me feel comfortable and less stressed about what I was going through. Deb truly put my mind at ease. I was treated as if I was a member of her family.

When I left after my first visit, Deb walked with me to the main lobby and gave me a big hug, which I really appreciated. She even called me the following day just to see how I was doing and feeling. Even if nurses have to do this as part of their follow-up care with their patients, I was so very appreciative that Deb took the time to call me. I really felt her care and concern for me.

If all of Good Samaritan's nurses were as caring, compassionate and focused on their patients as Deb Moore was with me, Good Samaritan would be an even better "place for patients to heal". In my opinion, Deb exemplifies the Advocate Experience and Behaviors of Excellence, and should be a role model for all associates.
