My 4-month-old son and I came in on a Monday night after going to Pediatric after-hours. Our triage nurse got us in a room right away. Sarah was waiting for us and got started taking care of my baby by checking his vital signs. His respiratory rate was over 120 so he needed oxygen and needed deep suctioning numerous times. We had to spend the night in the ER, which was fine with me, given the devoted care Sarah provided to my son. I requested to have Sarah as our nurse on Tuesday night. Even though my son's oxygen levels were in the normal range, Sarah would come in the room to check on him. She noticed that he was having a hard time breathing so she would give him more oxygen. On Wednesday, we were transferred to another floor, and we weredischargedon Thursday. The level of love and care that Sarah showed toward my baby helped me relax and not stress out about things so much. She took care of him as if he was her own son and she has a heart of gold. She is truly a Godsend and is a true DAISY Nurse. I love her for how she took care of my son.
