Mindy has been a blessing to both myself and my son D who was recently diagnosed with Pre B All. Since diagnosis, about three weeks ago, we have spent about 20 days in the hospital and Mindy, whether she is D's nurse for the day or not, stops by to see how D is doing and see if he needs anything. She has been so very helpful in explaining to me and to D the different treatments and the different medications that he has to take. From the first day that D met Mindy he has declared that she is favorite female nurse on the floor and whenever he sees her, she brightens his day with her kindness. She is attentive, caring, listens to him and always makes sure that he knows that he will be okay. She has many, many times calmed me down when I am scared whether she knows she has or not. She is amazing! Someone that I believe should be recognized for her over and above duties she does on the Hem/Onc floor. We know that we have a long, hard road ahead of us, but knowing that ACH has such amazing nurses and knowing we will see Mindy's smiling face and great attitude makes it a lot easier.
