Sean Meehan is an absolutely stellar ED nurse with exceptional skills in both critical and psychiatric care. He is intelligent, insightful, and 100% dependable. He is always interested in doing the best thing for the patient and is always going the extra mile to help all of us out. He has an exceptional attitude and really represents the best of the best.

He is an excellent nurse and team player. Recently we had a patient with septic shock come into the ER that had not yet been triaged. Sean immediately recognized the high acuity of the situation. He volunteered to take the patient, and skillfully and promptly initiated the septic pathway. When the patient became hypotensive, he immediately notified the MDs and closely monitored blood pressure response to IV fluids (saving the patient the need for a central line and vasopressors). Even more impressively, he did this while teaching a new nurse the entire process. Not only is he an excellent provider, but also a team player who is actively and skillfully training a new generation of nursing.

Sean has a motor on him, always high energy. He is organized and efficient. He doesn't ever make excuses and just gets the job done. He always has a good attitude and is a team player. He is really caring and compassionate with his patients. He is a true patient advocate. We should figure out a way to clone him. Lastly, he is a cool dude!

Exceptionally perceptive, energetic and responsive, interested in medical care beyond his duties. I know when Sean's around that I will have a better day, and breathe easier knowing he's in charge of a sick patient and will act appropriately if something happens.

Sean is an exceptional nurse and team player in the ED. He is consistently going above and beyond to provide excellent care for his patients and is always cheerful about stepping in to help out. We are so appreciative to have him as part of our team!

A few weeks ago, I had an intoxicated patient who was not cooperating with us. He kept trying to get out of bed but was very unsteady. Sean, happening to be nearby—that is he was not even this patient's primary nurse-immediately jumped into action and helped us therapeutically contain the patient so that the patient would not harm himself or others. I can't count the number of times he has routinely helped others out, outside of his direct responsibilities. Sean is truly an MVP.
