Ivette passed my room, saw me in great distress and though she owed me nothing, she came immediately into my room, and from that first moment, showed me more caring and concern than I could have imagined! She addressed me, the total person - psychiatric issues, and several medical problems that no one else noticed! - from my very swollen right arm (she asked if I had compression stocking to my swollen feet, she moved my chair closer to my bed so that I could elevate my feet and got scissors and cut my XL socks to prevent my circulation from being cut off. When she asked what made me as terribly upset as I was, she talked to me about numerous ways I could try to lessen my tremendous anxiety, she talked to me about deep breathing and visualization. But she also thought of other ideas and acted on them immediately. She left the room and returned with magazines for me to read to distract myself.

I have never experienced so much caring, concern, sensitivity and action. Thank you, Ivette, for your incredible humanity!
