Our sister had MS and was a quadriplegic. Her speech was very hard to understand at times and she herself had zero patience for repeating things. It was so difficult for her, she was a person who knew what she wanted but could never do things herself. Her frustration was sometimes anger; actually more times than not. My sister sometimes was a very tough cookie and hard to please and hard to deal with. If she could stomp her feet and scream she would. She also had a very funny side and she was a beautiful soul so I am by no means condemning her. I only want you to know what Amanda dealt with. Time after time my sister was in the hospital, and Amanda remembered her each time. She would tell me things about past events with her. I believe Amanda should receive this award because she not only took wonderful care of my sister each and every time she was admitted (which was a lot), but she was there through the 2 weeks before her passing. She catered to her and made her comfortable like you wouldn't believe, then turned to us and made our family feel comfortable. Getting us things, helping us understand things and most of all putting up with us.
Thank you Amanda for everything.

Amanda was always cheerful. She came in on her day off to bring me some cake for my 67th Anniversary. My wife had passed away the year before and I did not have any family that was able to be with me. She is a real sweetheart.
Thank you Amanda for everything.
