Liberty is an excellent nurse and deserves to be recognized for her ability to take care of patients and families in a caring and compassionate way. She does not only focus on the treatment and medical procedures that needs to be done but definitely goes out of her way to ensure that families feel empowered to participate in the care of their babies. She is confident in her interactions, always strong, calm, and understanding in her communication with parents and coworkers.

In fact, just the other day, one of the parents came to me and said "Only Liberty's voice can calm the baby and make him finish all his feedings". Even in the most hectic situations, Liberty's voice remains soft and calming always providing comfort for those around her. Liberty's gently nature and kindness truly helps families as they navigate their way through the intimidating setting of the NICU. Family members never hesitate to approach her when they are in need of guidance because they know Liberty will always go out of her way to help them. You will even find her following up with babies she previously took care of, but are no longer assigned to her. She does so because she cares about the progression of all of our NICU patients. Liberty exemplifies excellent clinical skills and is recognized as one of the most advanced care providers in the NICU.
