This describes my nurse Claire exemplified Christ's hands in action. From the moment Claire stepped into my room with a smiling face and kind spirit, I felt at ease with my healthcare. Not only is Claire exemplary in her nursing skills but her mere presence as Claire cares for her patients is calming and cheerful. Claire was always available to help with my medical needs and the many questions I had about my emergency surgery.
When my bed linens were soiled, Claire changed the sheets. When I was a "fall risk" Claire was there to assist. When I experienced pain, Claire assessed. When I began meals, Claire explained the ordering process. When I needed a toothbrush, toothpaste, ect., Claire was there. In short "Claire was there". But not just in her professional role but always in a "Christ-like" manner. Her calm, kind, patient, soft manner was medicine for a quick recovery, but also an uplifting, encouraging, positive recovery.
