I had the opportunity of working with Bernadette in NICU with a critically ill baby. Not only was I impressed with her ability to assess the patient and initiate appropriate care in an intense situation but I was also amazed with her professionalism towards every staff member involved. The baby had to be intubated and transported to CHOP, so it was a stressful few hours. Bernadette's expertise kept her focused on the baby while working hand in hand with respiratory therapy and the neonatologist and other nurses to get the appropriate care it needed. She recognized we were all here to do the same thing, help the baby! I quite honestly was very nervous, as working with a critically ill infant seems to have a different emotional strain than working with critical elderly. Bernadette made me feel important and like an integral part of the team. She goes above and beyond with her patients and is on top of her game. Bernadette is so respectful of her co-workers and she makes it easy to work as a team. I am honored to be able to work with such a great nurse who goes above and beyond. Princeton's NICU has been blessed to have her on staff!
