During my father's stay, Rachel's cares and service were extraordinary! Not only did she take such wonderful care of Dad, but always was concerned about our family and made sure we were all comfortable and taken care of. Rachel took the time to explain things to us so we understood what was going on. She worked hard to make Dad comfortable. She even rounded up a recliner one day and got him moved from the bed to the chair for a while! He said it was "heaven"! Rachel was with us when my Dad passed and had such great compassion and support for us. She will be fondly remembered by our family for her outstanding care, compassion and work ethic. She is truly a gem!

Our family gathered at Altru for the last days of our husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather's life. Each of us commented at various times about the wonderful care we received from each of the nurses and staff. It was truly a remarkable experience during a difficult time. One nurse in particular stood out among all the other great care-givers; Rachel Davis's compassion and skills come from her soul. Many skills can be learned, but her compassion and genuine caring are very obvious. Rachel took extra time to explain our situation and help us understand what was to come. She did this in such a way that we were at ease and comfortable.
