Annita Veydt is the Nurse Navigator for the MSICU on T4A. During the past 3 years, I have observed Annita be an exceptional leader on the unit, patient and family advocate, and an infection prevention champion on the unit. Her wealth of clinical knowledge is demonstrated on a daily basis as she work with clinical team educate on best practices for patient care and improve clinical outcomes for the patients on the unit.
She incorporates the patient and family into the patient's plan of care during daily or multidisciplinary rounds. Her attention to details of each and every patient and family needs is extraordinary. She advocates for her patients daily with the medical, nursing, and team members. She is always present for the highlights of the day with a smile and rewards team members through positive reinforcement. During difficult situations, she provides the team with positive feedback and encouragement. She is a source of strength for team members as well.
As an infection prevention champion, she is dedicated to reviewing the need for central lines and urinary catheters. Her work has improved patient safety and clinical outcomes for patients. Her dedication to the Baptist Health team is seen daily through her work and smile!
