We nominate Marie Michel because of her exceptional care of our pre-adoptive daughter, A. My husband and I were very nervous to have someone other than family care for our child while we work, especially with her medical needs. Marie has put our nerves at ease since the beginning. She is incredibly caring and knowledgeable! She is always on time and is very flexible. Marie is so good with A and works on physical therapy, occupational therapy and feeding therapy techniques taught by Birth to Three. Marie meets with Birth to Three when we are not able to make it home for them. Marie goes above and beyond by videotaping any suspicious "seizure" activity A may have throughout the day. She has also videotaped A "holding" her bottle one day which is a huge milestone for A. Marie was as proud as my husband and I were. She calls me during the day with updates if A is ill or has a fever. A definitely enjoys Marie's care as well as she is always smiling and laughing at Marie when we leave or come home. Marie deserves this DAISY Award for the exceptional care provides to our daughter.
