A patient of the Hyperbaric & Wound Care Department expressed concern that he would not be able to make his other Doctors appointment because he did not have gas and he would have to wait till January. Between 4 staff members: 2 nurses, the department assistant and the program director of the unit, the patient was gifted with enough gas money ($100) to last till January. The patient got so emotional he broke into tears. He was so grateful; he would now be able to get through the holidays with a bit less worry. Additionally, all staff members rallied together and donated food/goods to this patient for Christmas.
