A thank you note to Carmen: I learned so much in my short amount of time with you. Thank you for being patient with me as I was learning and performing new skills. You have taught me many tips that will help me be more prepared when I begin my nursing career. I really admired the care and time you gave to each patient. You went above and beyond to keep them clean, dry and as comfortable as possible. Not only did you teach me skills, but you also taught me about being an advocate for the patient. I could tell you were not doing it because you had to, but because you wanted to. You saw someone's mother, father, sister, brother or child lying in the bed, not just another patient, and to me that is what makes you such a great nurse. Thank you so much for making my experience enjoyable.
