Betsy was super nice. She was amazing working with my daughter. My daughter was very nervous and Betsy was able to help make her feel better and even made me feel better. To observe how she was with my child, as well as the other children, put me at ease and even more trusting of work CHKD was doing for my daughter. She is one great lady.

Another parent described her daughter's change from frightened to excited following a pre-visit where Betsy explained what was going to happen during the surgery experience. The mother stated "The morning the surgery was scheduled, my daughter woke up and said 'Let's go visit Miss Betsy for surgery!'"

Betsy put my nerves at ease. She was cognizant of my concerns and the level of care and empathy she demonstrated is something I will appreciate as I recall the events of this day.

Betsy is an extremely kind, compassionate, empathetic, hardworking PACU nurse. She goes out of her way to ensure that not only her patient is comfortable but the patient's family is as well. She is soft spoken and she is a natural at calming her patients' anxieties. All of her patients love her. You don't see Betsy sitting still very often. She is always buzzing around restocking or offering to help her co-workers. Betsy is awesome!
