My mother is going home to hospice care...I never thought to ask what to do about the dying part. Last night when she was struggling to breath, I felt panic and called the nurse. Ana came to the room and calmly explained to us that this was part of the process and reassured me that I was doing the right things. She asked me and my mother if we had questions about body or spirit, and she helped my mother voice her fears and helped me deal with grief. She checked on us through the night and calmed me and let me help with the care. She was an extraordinary comfort to me with her calm presence and her direct and clear manner of addressing our concerns.
We are so thankful for the kindness and compassion that Ana shows to her patients and families.
