Becki carries out our Children's mission with each and every patient she cares for in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). She consistently goes above and beyond to meet her patient's needs and the needs of the unit. Becki's nursing practice is detailed and compassionate. She consistently uses advanced critical thinking to provide her patients with the best and safest care. She is a role model to her peers and is well respected within Children's.
Becki has been a valued asset in successful implementation of the Epic, serving as an Epic credentialed trainer in the PACU since 2012. She is the current PACU representative on the Nursing Professional Development Council and has received countless compliments in regards to her work ethic and commitment to her unit and position. In 2016, as a member of the PACU Partnership Council, Becki teamed up to provide vital education to her peers during the Nurse Education Days. Another accomplishment for Becki this year was to receive Silver REACH recognition for the work she has done at the unit level. Becki is also a certified pediatric nurse (CPN) and supports her peers in also reaching this accomplishment. In addition to all of Becki's roles and accomplishments, she comes to work with a sense of humor and is a natural leader in the PACU. Becki is certainly deserving of the 2016 DAISY Award.
